Effects of Temperature and Salinity on Podocyst Recycling of the Edible Jellyfish Rhopilema esculentum (Kishinouye, 1891)

چکیده

As one of the edible jellyfish species, Rhopilema esculentum (Kishinouye, 1891) is a traditional fishery resource and an important economic aquaculture species in China. However, facing current situation natural resources exhaustion problems breeding population frequent disease, quantity, quality seedlings artificial cannot satisfy market demand. Temperature salinity have been considered to play crucial roles regulating R. asexual reproduction. This study examined combined effects by exposing post-preserved podocysts (preserved at 2 ± 1 °C for more than 12 months) three variable temperatures (simulated increasing from different starting dates 14.5 on April, 18 May, 23.2 July, respective levels) salinities (20, 25, 30).
